I received a call from Brandon yesterday – yay! But that wasn’t all. He said he could spend the day with us. Finally. We spent 5 hours together. I was thrilled to say the least. After he and I spoke on the phone, I picked up my computer to scout things to do. Ray encouraged me not to micro-manage. I suppose I get that honestly. But we live an hour away and I didn’t want to bring him back home only to have to take him back shortly after.
So where did we go to spend quality time catching up on all that’s been going on with each other in a comfortable, quiet place? After driving around looking for a hotel to sit in their lobby and not finding one…we went to the hospital. Yes, the hospital. It had comfortable seating in the lobby and it was relatively quiet.
Brandon is so enthusiastic learning about helicopter maintenance. Ray was just as eager to discuss aviation. It was fascinating to watch and listen to both of them. Then we ate at Jason’s Deli AND they have gluten free bread. It was delicious.
Such a good day!!!
