I {heart} Ivy and Moody Photos

Last Friday, I was prodding my photography muse back into much needed LIFE.  I asked my sister Bren where this mysterious train trestle was and off we went!  A big thunderstorm was looming so I didn’t linger and move around a lot but I’m happy with these few photos:

Happy Monday!

Blue skies and sunshine greeted me this morning which I believe are omens of great things {smile}.  I shared photos of Bren and two of her grandkids this weekend. Today I am sharing one of my eldest son {only one, sigh – since he’s been “overexposed” by his photo obsessed Mom} and some fun shots taken on Friday as well.

More Family photos

While I was snapping Tory’s photos, I coerced his sister Whitney to join him.  She will speak her mind if she doesn’t want to so I was happy that I caught a few of her with her brother but she wouldn’t agree to solo shots.  Then we added Bren to the mix.  It was a very easy going experience for me and hopefully them.

I stayed in Manual mode and the saying “use it or lose it” certainly applied.  I had to focus (excuse the pun) on my settings.  I’m guilty of taking the shot and then realizing the exposure was incorrect then I pay attention and change the settings.  But a few of these are better underexposed I think:)

Celebrating Tory – my muse

Yesterday I visited with family.  Bren asked me to take some photos of her grandson Tory to commemorate his upcoming birthday.  Tory has such a great smile and sparkly eyes so he’s great to photograph!  He was so easy going as I posed him this way and that.  It was a rainy day so the skies and the lighting were an issue but I think he looks great.  I could be partial though since he’s my great-nephew who just happens to be GREAT!

Feline Friday

I can’t believe it’s that time again!  Bud’s back to share in the spotlight.  Today’s photo shows a man’s love for our cat.  He may mutter “Stupid Cat” several times a day but then I see this.  Bud is in the throes of ecstasy being manhandled by “his daddy.”
